The Company ARES – Aerospace and Defense exists since the 60s. It was created by the merge of two companies: Eletro Mecânica Atlantide Ltda. – Atlantide and Periscópio Equipamentos Optronicos Ltda. – Periscópio that had complementary competences. Atlantide was mainly dedicated to “Process Engineering” (mass industrial production) of defense material (bombs, rockets, launchers etc.) and Periscópio was mainly dedicated to “Project Engineering” involving many different technologies such as: optics, precision mechanics, electronics and software.
